Student Money Guide

If you're seriously considering going to University, you shouldn't let money worries put you off. A lot of people don't realise just how much financial support is available to go to uni.
Student Loans are available to cover tuition fees and living costs. You don't have to pay these back until you've left your course and are earning over £15,000 a year.
And when you do start to repay your Student Loans, on the average graduate starting salary of £18,000 a year you would repay £5.19 a week.
Many more students are now eligible for non-repayable Maintenance Grants of up to £2,835 a year.
Many universties/colleges offer additional financial support in the form of bursaries - see what is available as you might benefit.
To find out more about what's available go to www.direct.gov.uk/unimoney and watch the DVD starring Nick Grimshaw, Ed Byrne, Miquita Oliver and Mark Heap.
